Flagship Leadership Program

GasSpeak 2026

Developing the next generation of gas industry leaders

GasSpeak is the Australian gas industry's flagship leadership, communication, and professional development program for high-potential early-career professionals.

Delivered by the Australian Gas Industry Trust (AGIT), GasSpeak brings together emerging leaders from across the gas value chain for an intensive, immersive development experience in Canberra or Perth.

GasSpeak is selective, challenging, and deeply supportive. It is designed for people who want to grow — not simply attend.

Applications for GasSpeak are open all year round with selection for the 2026 intake currently live.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

GasSpeak is not designed for passive participation. It is designed for people ready to be challenged, supported, and heard.

If you are ready to invest in your confidence, your voice, and your future in the gas industry — we encourage you to apply.

Manager Endorsement: An Essential Step

Participation in GasSpeak requires explicit endorsement from your manager or employer.

GasSpeak is an intensive, multi-day development program that demands preparation, full attendance, and active participation. Manager endorsement confirms that your organisation understands the commitment involved and supports you to fully engage — before, during, and after the program.

What Manager Endorsement Means

By endorsing your application, your manager is confirming that:

  • You are supported to attend the full program, including all pre-arrival sessions and in-person days
  • Time away from regular duties is approved for the duration of GasSpeak
  • Travel and accommodation arrangements will be supported by your organisation
  • Your participation aligns with your professional development and career progression

Why This Matters

Delegates consistently report that they gain the most from GasSpeak when they are fully supported by their organisation.

  • Enables you to commit wholeheartedly to the program
  • Signals organisational investment in your development
  • Ensures the experience delivers value for both the delegate and employer

GasSpeak is not a passive training course or a “tick-the-box” activity. It is a demanding, high-impact experience designed for individuals who are ready to step forward, be challenged, and grow — with the backing of their organisation.

Applications without manager endorsement will not be considered.

We encourage prospective applicants to have an open conversation with their manager early about their interest in GasSpeak and the opportunity it represents.
