Being on an IGU committee has many benefits, as stated by one of our representatives:
Marketing around the World
Barbara Jinks chaired the Marketing & Communications Committee June 2018-2021. The committee looked at new ways of marketing gas. As Barbara states: “Promoting gas is contact sport; the gas industry is having to use new ways of holding conversations with its key stakeholders – policy makers and the public. Members on our committee have learned a lot from meetings in the Netherlands, Germany, China, Slovenia and Canada, both through talking with industry leaders and meeting the national gas associations.
”Barbara thanks AGIT for funding her IGU activities and strongly encourages everyone to become involved in an industry committee relevant to their interest “not only to learn from others but to develop your own career, meet new colleagues around the world and give back to the Australian gas community”.
