Welcoming Ross Jamieson as Executive Officer of AGIT

The Australian Gas Industry Trust (AGIT) Board is pleased to welcome Ross Jamieson as the Trust’s new Executive Officer.

Ross joins AGIT with extensive experience across Australia’s gas and energy sector, bringing with him a strong understanding of the role that research, education and industry collaboration play in strengthening the future of the industry. His appointment marks an important step for AGIT as the Trust continues to expand its impact through strategic investment in research initiatives, scholarships and industry capability development.

Many within the sector will know Ross through his leadership as President of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association of Australia (GAMAA). In this role, Ross has worked closely with government, regulators and industry stakeholders on matters relating to appliance standards, safety and energy policy. His career in the gas appliance manufacturing and technology sector has also provided him with a deep appreciation of the practical challenges and opportunities facing industry participants.

Ross also brings continuity to the position through his previous service as a Director of AGIT. During his time on the Board, he contributed to guiding the Trust’s investment in projects that support innovation, workforce development and knowledge sharing across the gas industry. This experience gives Ross a strong understanding of AGIT’s mission and the important role the Trust plays in supporting the long-term capability of the sector.
