The window to nominate for the first GasSpeak 2026 program is closing fast, with submissions due by 15 April.
For over three decades, GasSpeak has played a critical role in developing the communication and leadership capability of emerging professionals across Australia’s gas industry. It is a program built on participation, challenge, and growth—designed to equip future leaders with the skills required to represent both their organisations and the industry more broadly.
In 2026, GasSpeak expands its reach with two separate programs:
This expansion creates greater access to the program, while maintaining the same high-impact format that GasSpeak is known for.
GasSpeak is not a passive learning experience.
Delegates are required to actively engage in all aspects of the program, including public speaking, group discussions, and presentations. These elements are not optional—they are central to the learning model and are what make the program so effective .
Across the three days, participants develop:
Participants also benefit from direct interaction with experienced industry mentors, gaining feedback and insight that is rarely available in day-to-day roles.
GasSpeak is designed for early-career professionals working across the gas value chain, including production, transmission, distribution, policy, and related sectors .
Employers play a critical role in the program by identifying and supporting candidates who will benefit most from the experience. This includes enabling attendance and supporting their development beyond the program itself.
The future of the gas industry depends on more than technical capability.
It depends on people who can communicate effectively, advocate for the role of gas, and engage confidently with stakeholders, policymakers, and the broader community.
GasSpeak exists to build that capability.
With limited places available and strong demand expected, organisations and individuals are encouraged to submit nominations before the deadline.
Nominations close 15 April for the June intake in Perth.
If you know someone with potential—or if you are ready to challenge yourself—now is the time to act.
