In partnership with renewables it provides a smooth pathway to cleaner electricity. It is now one of Australia’s major exports in the form of Liquefied Natural Gas or LNG, which is critical to reducing pollution in countries like China.
The International Energy Agency estimates that by 2040 natural gas will become the second-largest fuel in the global energy mix after oil.
